Therapeutic Breathwork

What has to be taught first is the breath.

the approach

What is therapeutic breathwork?

Functional breathing is not about "doing" breathwork; it is about uncovering how you breathe when you aren't paying attention. Most of us have developed subtle, dysfunctional breathing patterns in response to chronic stress — shallow, rapid, or irregular breaths that signal "danger" to your nervous system 24/7.

In these sessions, we focus on therapeutic breath re-education. We work to restore your natural, efficient breathing mechanics, which is the most fundamental way to regulate your nervous system. By addressing your everyday breathing patterns, we can shift your biology out of a constant high-alert state, reduce anxiety, and help you find a steady, quiet baseline that you can carry with you long after you leave the studio.

who it's for

This work is for you if…

  • You find yourself holding your breath, breathing through your mouth, or sighing frequently during the day.
  • You struggle with anxious thoughts or a nervous system that feels constantly "on."
  • You are looking for a foundational, physiological tool to reset your state whenever you feel depleted.
  • You want to move away from "forced" breathing techniques and instead learn how to restore the breath that your body was designed to use.
