Hi, I’m Fiona. 

Living in beautiful Malta, I combine functional yoga with the principles of stress management to live a slower pace in our everyday life. Our practice is more than yoga poses on the mat; it’s about understanding the ‚why‘ behind each movement, regulating the nervous system and integrating this mindfulness into the daily routine. 

Experience a journey of growth in stability, strength, and mindfulness with me -whether joining my yoga classes or personal yoga training in Malta or connecting online in the virtual yoga mat.

Hi, my name is Fiona.

In a world that constantly speeds ahead, I believe in the power of slow living, complemented by an adaptable and strong mind and body. These, I feel, guide us towards true balance, confidence, ease, and fulfillment in every stage of life.

With this philosophy, I am deeply passionate about introducing smart and safer movement in yoga. It’s not about chasing extreme flexibility or mastering a pose; it’s about a deeper anatomical understanding, fostering a strong core connection, and embracing better alignment. We celebrate building stability and strength, and as a result, we naturally gain enhanced mobility and adaptability.

Drawing inspiration from the LYT Yoga® methodology, my classes mirror the ethos of slow living: intentionally paced, mindful, and present. Every movement, every breath, is an opportunity to reconnect with ourselves and the moment. I utilize props like blocks and chairs, ensuring yoga remains accessible and enjoyable for everyone, and together, we uncover the joy in movement, integrating it as a daily ritual.

Beyond the mat, it’s all about community and connection. Our yoga sessions in Malta are designed for small groups, allowing for genuine interactions and a close-knit bond among students. Naturally, every class leaves room for conversations, a cup of tea, fostering our collective journey towards a slow life, better movements and more mindfulness.

Who am I?

Hi again.

Born in a German town close to the Netherlands, I now cherish life in Malta alongside my family and our son.

My past in marketing and event management showed me the strains of a desk job and the need for balance. Motherhood intensified my bond with yoga, a bond that’s evolved and deepened over time. Yet, despite regular practice, I struggled with injuries and chronic pain until discovering LYT YOGA®. This method redefined my understanding of movement and brought much-needed relief.

Blending yoga with the principles of stress management and nervous system regulation, especially in the realm of motherhood, has given me a profound sense of balance and presence. This harmony of mindful, smart yoga and intentional living is what I’m eager to share.

As a certified LYT Yoga® instructor in Malta, I’m here to guide you through yoga that emphasizes sustainable, functional movement, cultivating strength and equilibrium.

Empowering mamas through slowness + mindful movement

Motherhood brings with it a whirlwind of tasks and emotions. Amidst the hustle, the essence of living in the present can easily be lost. This is where the concepts of smart yoga + slow living intersect with motherhood.

Slow living isn’t just about slowing down; it’s about fully embracing the moments with our loved ones. Alongside, yoga encourages good movement, keeping us active and in tune with our bodies. This balanced approach not only enhances our well-being but also sets a mindful example for our children.

As we navigate motherhood, let’s cherish the benefits of living slowly and moving wisely.

A little about me!

Hi! My name is Fiona,

as I was born and raised in a small German town close to the Netherlands, I spent most of my life there! I’m happy that my family and I took the courage for change and we can call Malta our home now! 

With a marketing and event management background, I know how it feels to have endless working days with less movement and a grumpy back due to a slouchy office posture. 

As an animal lover, I was a horse girl my whole life. I love having animals around me. That’s why I’m grateful to enjoy life with our beautiful senior dogs. 

But let’s talk about yoga: My yoga journey started more or less in my studies, but I found the deep connection during my pregnancy. With the change of my body, the uprooting from my old life and the new challenges, I inevitably began to question my previous lifestyle and related decisions. Out of this grew the desire to take a new path for myself and with it the step to my personal yoga practice and my first yoga teacher training in 2019. 

Although I practiced yoga almost every day, I suffered from back and shoulder pain for years. I became more interesting in movement patterns, a good posture on and off the mat and the why behind! This led me to LYT YOGA® that helped me break the cycle of disadvantageous movements. As moving in my new routines made me feel so much stronger, more stable and free of pain, I never looked back to my previous way of movement.

As a certified LYT Yoga teacher (200 hrs), I’m excited to share my passion for yoga and sustainable movement with you in Malta.

This format offers the convenience of practicing in your home, making it an ideal choice for beginners or those who appreciate a more personalized yoga journey.

I’m passionate about working with individuals from all walks of life. In our one-on-one sessions, we prioritize posture, strength, and mobility. Taking into account any injuries or limitations, we adapt the yoga practice to suit you perfectly.

I offer 1:1 yoga sessions both online and in person in Malta.
