Hi, I’m Fiona Flecken. 

Living in beautiful Malta, I combine functional yoga with the principles of stress management and sound baths to live a slower pace in our everyday life. Our practice is more than yoga poses on the mat; it’s about understanding the ‚why‘ behind each movement, regulating the nervous system and integrating this mindfulness into the daily routine. 

Experience a journey of growth in stability, strength, and mindfulness with me – whether joining my yoga classes or personal yoga training in Malta or connecting online in the virtual yoga mat.

A restorative approach to movement, stress relief, and deep rest

In my work, I blend the functional movement principles of LYT Yoga with the science of nervous system regulation and the healing power of sound therapy. The goal? To help you move better, release tension, and experience true rest – so you can show up for life with more balance, resilience, and ease.

What You Can Expect

Good Movement: Using LYT Yoga, we focus on functional, intentional movements that support your body’s natural alignment. By building strength and mobility from the core, you’ll learn to move with greater efficiency and ease, both on and off the mat.

Stress Release & Nervous System Support: Through techniques rooted in Polyvagal Theory, we explore how to release stored stress and recalibrate your nervous system. You’ll learn how to shift from states of overwhelm into a space of calm and regulation, empowering you to handle life’s ups and downs with more resilience.

Deep Rest & Sound Baths: Whether it’s through guided relaxation, gentle somatic practices, or immersive sound baths using crystal bowls, you’ll find a pathway to deep rest and rejuvenation. These sessions create a safe space where your body and mind can truly relax, allowing for deeper healing and restoration.

Why It Matters

In a world that constantly pulls us in different directions, we all need spaces where we can pause, breathe, and reset. My approach is designed to meet you where you are – whether you’re looking to move better, manage stress, or simply rest. About me

Hi again.

Originally from a small town in Germany near the Netherlands, I now embrace the island life in Malta with my family.

My journey began in the corporate world of marketing and event management – a fast-paced environment that left me craving balance. Motherhood only amplified this need, deepening my connection with yoga. But despite years of regular practice, I found myself battling injuries and chronic pain. That’s when I discovered LYT Yoga®, a method that completely transformed my approach to movement, helping me build sustainable strength while relieving discomfort.

This discovery led me to blend functional movement with deeper practices focused on nervous system regulation and stress release. I realized that true well-being isn’t just about physical flexibility, but also about managing the invisible loads we carry. By integrating principles from Polyvagal Theory, somatic stress release, and restorative sound therapy, I found a profound balance between active strength-building and deep rest.

Now, as a certified LYT Yoga® instructor, I combine these elements in my teaching to support others in moving better, releasing stress, and embracing moments of rest. Whether you’re looking to regain mobility, manage daily stressors, or simply unwind, my mission is to create a space where you can truly connect with yourself.

I can’t wait to meet you on the mat and guide you through this journey of functional movement, inner calm, and deep rest.

Empowering mamas through slowness + mindful movement

Motherhood brings with it a whirlwind of tasks and emotions. Amidst the hustle, the essence of living in the present can easily be lost. This is where the concepts of smart yoga + slow living intersect with motherhood.

Slow living isn’t just about slowing down; it’s about fully embracing the moments with our loved ones. Alongside, yoga encourages good movement, keeping us active and in tune with our bodies. This balanced approach not only enhances our well-being but also sets a mindful example for our children.

As we navigate motherhood, let’s cherish the benefits of living slowly and moving wisely.

A little about me!

Hi! My name is Fiona,

as I was born and raised in a small German town close to the Netherlands, I spent most of my life there! I’m happy that my family and I took the courage for change and we can call Malta our home now! 

With a marketing and event management background, I know how it feels to have endless working days with less movement and a grumpy back due to a slouchy office posture. 

As an animal lover, I was a horse girl my whole life. I love having animals around me. That’s why I’m grateful to enjoy life with our beautiful senior dogs. 

But let’s talk about yoga: My yoga journey started more or less in my studies, but I found the deep connection during my pregnancy. With the change of my body, the uprooting from my old life and the new challenges, I inevitably began to question my previous lifestyle and related decisions. Out of this grew the desire to take a new path for myself and with it the step to my personal yoga practice and my first yoga teacher training in 2019. 

Although I practiced yoga almost every day, I suffered from back and shoulder pain for years. I became more interesting in movement patterns, a good posture on and off the mat and the why behind! This led me to LYT YOGA® that helped me break the cycle of disadvantageous movements. As moving in my new routines made me feel so much stronger, more stable and free of pain, I never looked back to my previous way of movement.

As a certified LYT Yoga teacher (200 hrs), I’m excited to share my passion for yoga and sustainable movement with you in Malta.

1:1 yoga + stress management

Personal training provides a tailored yoga experience with 1:1 instruction, catering to your unique needs – be it stress relief, strength and stability, or support during injury rehabilitation. This format offers the convenience of practicing in your home, making it an ideal choice for beginners or those who appreciate a more personalized yoga journey. I’m passionate about working with individuals from all walks of life.

In our one-on-one sessions, we prioritize posture, strength, and mobility. Taking into account any injuries or limitations, we adapt the yoga practice to suit you perfectly.

Available both online and in person in Malta for a truly customized experience.

Sound Bath

Deep Relaxation, Stress Relief and Nervous System Reset

Sound baths are immersive experiences using the healing vibrations of crystal bowls and other sound instruments to guide you into deep relaxation. The gentle frequencies calm the nervous system, release tension, and promote a state of inner peace. Whether you’re seeking stress relief, emotional balance, or simply a moment of rest, sound baths offer a serene escape to reconnect with your body and mind.

I offer sound baths as group or private sessions. 

Workplace Wellness

Enhance workplace well-being with tailored sessions focusing on functional movement, stress release, and deep rest.

Designed to counteract the strains of modern work life, these practices help improve posture, boost energy, and foster resilience. Whether it’s gentle movement, guided relaxation, or tools for nervous system regulation, these sessions empower teams to feel more balanced, focused, and connected – both at work and beyond.
